For those times you have to leave home this winter, there is nothing better then a nice hot beverage to accompany you on your NYC journeys. Here is a list of some of the best coffee houses close to The Sagamore where you can grab a hot drink to enjoy on your way out into the cold winter weather.

Joe Coffee (85th and Columbus): With it’s Upper West Side store serving local residents for almost 7 years now, Joe Coffee has great hours, and a great location. Just a few blocks and an avenue from The Sagamore, this shop is open 7 days a week from 7am to 8pm. If you need that early morning or late afternoon pick me up, they offer many hot coffee, tea and espresso options.

Edgar’s Cafe (Between 90th and 91st on Amsterdam): Caffe Lattes, macchiatos, cappuccino, espresso, tea; Edgar’s Cafe has it all! This privately owned cafe also offers several food options if you are looking to grab a breakfast treat or lunch on your way, including some delicious hot soup! What makes this spot even more perfect is it is practically next door to The Sagamore, making it the perfect go to spot as residents are running out the door.

Georgia and Aliou’s Tiny Treats Cafe (90th and Amsterdam): This local cafe which has been open for about a year and half is also right next door to The Sagamore and is well known for all their delicious bakery items. Their coffee is underrated however and is a great on the go grab, and you can take a tasty treat with you to pair with your hot drink as well.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (86th and Amsterdam): If you are not too sure what you want, The Coffee Bean has what seems like endless different options of several types of coffee roast and tea flavors. From light to dark and super dark roast coffee, green, black and herbal tea, local residents can find almost anything they can think of. They have many locations all over the city, including this UWS shop just 3 blocks away.

Birch Coffee (97th and Columbus): A little further from The Sagamore, if you are making your way uptown, this is a great stop you can make on your way for a nice warm drink! They also serve some delicious hot chocolate and pastries that are excellent pairing to any beverage you get!
