Upper West Side residents are just days away from the grand opening of Kirsh Bakery and Kitchen. This new spot is just a few blocks down from The Sagamore, which will make it a convenient new eatery for late night eating or early morning breakfasts. Intended to serve to customers 24/7, it will be a unique addition to the neighborhood and great addition to the list of conveniences for our residents at The Sagamore.
Kirsh Bakery and Kitchen will specialize in breakfast food, namely French toast with many different topping choices but of course will serve up other dishes as well. Going with a French and German theme, other bakery items include cakes, pies, homemade milk bread and several different jams. Kirsh will also be serving fresh brewed coffee, which will be provided by beans grown in the Hudson Valley at Irving Farm.
Owner Dan Kirsh has some experience with running a bakery, as him and his wife own one in Israel. To get a sneak peak of what might be offered on the Upper West Side spot, you can read the following review of their first bakery.
Kirsh Bakery and Kitchen will be taking over the space formally Popover’s on Amsterdam between 86th and 87th Street. An opening date has not been announced yet, but keep a look out on their Facebook page and website for updates and the announcement of the grand opening! If you are eager to see the new layout with customers mirrors and a new marble floor added to the space, Kirsh’s Instagram page gives future customers a peak!
