Celebrate Spring at NYC’s Cherry Blossom Festival


Spring is in the air! Warmer weather and sunny days are back, filling the air with the fresh smell of flowers and spring. Sagamore residents can enjoy the nice weather by walking around the Upper West Side, taking a stroll over to Central Park or participating in one of many spring events in NYC! If you love flowers and have been waiting all winter for the trees to bloom, NYC’s Cherry Blossom Festival is the perfect place to kick off spring.

Brooklyn Botanical Gardens will host their annual Cherry Blossom Festival again this season. On April 29th and April 30th you can see the peak of the trees in full bloom and surround yourself with pink as the cherry blossoms make their highly anticipated appearance. If you take the trip over to the Botanical Gardens, you can also join in on other fun celebrations! There will be a flee market taking place with plenty of live entertainment and delicious good! To connect to the Japanese culture of the cherry blossoms, there will be several traditional Japanese style dances from live performers, Samurai Sword Masters, Taiko Drummers and more!
