The Mermaid Inn: Our Sagamore residents are just a 3 minute walk from delicious fresh seafood! The Mermaid Inn has a large menu filled with fresh fish options for everyone. Menu items include seared barnegat sea scallops with creamed corn, asparagus, black garlic & toasted crumb, eared calamari salad featuring frisée, feta cheese, cremini & shiitake and maryland crab cakes. You can grab a oyster and clam platter from their raw bar or try their classic shrimp cocktail. If you make it in before 7 there are plenty of happy hour specials that would go great with your meal!

Luke’s Lobster: Want fresh Maine Lobster without having to make the hours long trip out east? Luke’s Lobster saves you the travel time just minutes away from The Sagamore by serving the freshest seafood caught in Maine. Their specialty is of course their Lobster Roll, 1/4 lb of chilled wild caught lobster in a split top bun with melted lemon butter, mayo, and our secret seasoning. They also serve crab and shrimp rolls, or have a little of all three with Luke’s Trio, 1/2 lobster roll, 1/2 crab roll, 1/2 shrimp roll. The Wild Blue Salad is made of Chilled lobster tail, arugula, pickled wild Maine blueberries, red cabbage, white beans, roasted sunflower seeds, balsamic vinaigrette.


Ed’s Chowder House: Oysters, mussels, shrimp, clams and more, you can find it all at Ed’s located just a short trip downtown on 63rd Street. Their menu features several shellfish platters that you can choose from, main seafood entrees and their specialty, chowder! Chowder options include Manhattan style blue crab chowder, shellfish chowder, and New England Style Clam Chowder all made from fresh seafood.

NYC Summer Restaurant Week Is Back

It’s that time a year again and restaurants all over NYC and the Upper West Side will be participating in the highly raved about NYC restaurant week at the end of July. More than 350 eateries across the 5 boroughs will be offering specials to diners in the spirit of the event from July 24th to August 18th. Here are some local spots close by to The Sagamore where you can catch special deals for the week!

Fish Tag: Located on 79th and Broadway, Fish Tag is within walking distance or just a quick subway ride from The Sagamore. They will be offering guests who choose to dine with them a $42 fixed price dinner everyday of the week with the exception of Saturdays. Choose from their Buttery Corn Soup, Garden Risotto or a fresh salad to start your meal off. Main menu items include Spaghetti, Grilled Salmon and Roasted Chicken.


The Ribbon: Weekdays Ribbon NYC will be offering a fixed dinner and lunch special for customers. Located on 72nd Street between Central Park West and Columbus this eatery serves mouth watering American cuisine. For lunch try out their Chicken Sandwich, Black Bean Burger or have a taste of the Mahi Mahi. Dinner menu options include Lamb Chops, Prime Rib, Lobster and Shrimp Curry and Branzino.


Calle Ocho: Located on 81st Street, Calle Ocho serves some of the best Latin cuisine on the Upper West Side. Their fixed dinner menu will include Gazpacho Verde which combines cucumber, avocado, mint and jalapeno with taragon chilled soup and it is topped off with grilled shrimp and a red seaweed salad. For the main course try their Puerco- grilled watermelon glazed pork tenderloin served with salad.
