The Community Garden right here on the Upper West Side will b hosting free movie nights for just two Friday’s during the month of August! Take a stroll from The Sagamore over to 89th Street and enjoy an evening movie outdoors in the neighborhood!
On August 4th La La Land will be the feature film of the evening. The film will be shown on a screen projected in the center of the garden. Seating is not provided so make sure to grab and folding chairs, picnic blankets or an extra sheet to make your own ozy seating area! If you can’t make it that weekend, August 11th the garden will show Lion, one of the major films of 2016.
Looking to check out some more summer movies before the season ends? Plenty of spots all around NYC will show free films from now through Labor Day.
Bryant Park: Head to Midtown to catch a mix of older films this year! All That Jazz kicks off the month of August on the 7th, North By Northwest will be shown on August 14th and Dirty Dancing will be the feature film on August 21st!
Columbia University: Right here on the Upper West Side you can enjoy some more films as port of the Films on The Green Series at Columbia. WIth just one special film on September 7th this year, you won’t want to miss this special viewing of The Wild Child.
Pier 46 (On The Hudson Series): Pier 46 will show several family friendly movies throughout August. August 4 with feature the film Sing, August 11th Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them and August 18: The Karate Kid.
