Oktoberfest Celebrations are already beginning here in NYC. There are several events taking place all around NYC this year starting this month and continuing through October. Grab your best pint glass and celebrate one of the city’s biggest fall events!
Oktoberfest in Central Park: Central Park is just a quick walk away from The Sagamore and host the kickoff event for Oktoberfest celebrations. Starting with the Steuben Parade, this culturally filled German Celebration will mark it’s 60th year. After the parade continue the day of festivities in the park by bringing your best pitcher and enjoying a drink with friends and some traditional live German folk music. Munich on the East River: Starting September 29th Zum Schneider will host their Oktoberfest celebration through the beginning of October. This event taps into all the traditions of Oktoberfet so guests will feel as though they are celebrating right in Germany! They will have a tent set up on the East River featuring a band stage, plenty of food and traditional stein glasses. This year you can find HB Traunstein Festbier, Andechs Festbier and Weihenstephaner Festbier. There will also be hard cider and wine if you are looking for a little change throughout the day. Oktoberfest roast chicken & pork shank), Giant Pretzels, Brat- and Weisswurst are just some of the many food options you will find on the menu. All staff workers speak fluent German and will be dressed in traditional Oktoberfest attire for the full experience!
Watermark Oktoberfest: Head over to Pier 15 for another NYC Oktoberfest celebration this month! September 15th will be the first of three weekends where Watermark Bar will host their annual Oktoberfest festival. Enjoy a pint or stein with a breathtaking view of the Brooklyn Bridge.
