The Upper West Side and All It Has to Offer

Living in New York City is great, but living on the Upper West Side is even better! The Sagamore, conveniently located in the heart of the UWS on 89th and Amsterdam, is right in the middle of all the action and all wonderful things in our neighborhood has to offer. In the city that never sleeps, The Upper West Side is the perfect balance with the more commercial blocks of Broadway and Columbus filled with late night adventurers, shoppers and several restaurants and the quiet low key areas such as Riverside and West End with their parks and scenery. Here are some of the great perks of our neighborhood that we at The Sagamore know and love.

The Sagamore couldn’t have a more perfect location being right in the middle of it all on Amsterdam Ave. Just a few avenues over, Central Park is right there waiting for you. Perfect for outdoor activities, nighttime strolls and convenient to any of the events and fairs that are almost always happening. During the summer months, parts of Columbus further down in the 70’s are often blocked off on Sundays for Summer Street Fairs.

There are several cultural aspects of the neighborhood as well. The American Natural History Museum on 81st is one of the biggest attractions in New York City and it’s practically in our residents backyard! The Children’s Museum of Manhattan is also close by, as are the historical Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew located in Riverside Park.

The energy and excitement of the Upper West Side never fades. Here are some great articles about the upper West Side for our residents yearning to learn more about all that is around The Sagamore. Make sure if you have not taken the time to explore around beyond The Sagamore that you make it a top priority soon!
