If you’ve never been to Grand Central Terminal during the holidays, now is the time to go! Their Holiday Fair will open on November 14th. This is one of the longest-running indoor holiday fairs in New York City, not to mention the space is beautiful. They are highly selective about the artists which participate in this event and spend majority of the year looking for unique vendors that focus on American-made and handmade products. Around 40 vendors will take over part of the historic Vanderbilt Hall for 6 weeks to sell jewelry, artwork, clothing and home goods. Since 1993, the Holiday Fair has been a must-shop destination during the holidays.
Grand Central Terminal will also have their annual Thanksgiving Market on November 23rd. They’ll have well known bakeries and dessert shops such as Magnolia Bakery, Jacques Torres Chocolates and Zaro’s Family Bakery. It’s the perfect time to pick up something for the holiday party you are attending or hosting. They will also have live music to get you in the holiday spirit.
Did you know that Grand Central Terminal also has 35 dining options to suit every palate? After the market, you can explore the terminal and get Joe’s Coffee, La Chula, Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse, Shake Shack and much more. They also have 68 stores for all you shoppers out there such as Banana Republic, Central Watch, M.A.C Cosmetics and Tumi.
You can get to the terminal by train in just 15 minutes from the Sagamore. Also, make sure to mark your calendar for their last event of the year December 19th-23rd at their Holiday Wrap-Up Market.
